This bunting has turquoise crystal gems on it and is called "Forget-Me-Not"

 The second one is called "Amethyst and Apricots" and as the title reveals it has amethyst crystal gems hand sewn on to it

Vintage doily and linen bunting

I love all things that are vintage and alittle bit quirky, I have collected items from jumbles sales, flea markets, charity shops, church fetes, antique fairs from as far back as I can remember. I have made curtains, lampshade covers, door screens etc from my doilies and now I have started to make bunting with them. The first set of curtains I created from vintage doilies I made over 20 years ago and they still hang up in my bedroom to this day.

Handcrafted crystal gem hair combs

Today I have been photgraphing and listing some of my handcrafted crystal gem hair combs that I have made for my Etsy shop~ Crystal Dream Weddings.

They all come cleansed, charged and sealed in a special presentation box along with an explanation of the crystals with which they have been made

making them a special keepsake that you can treasure forever.

Setting up the business

As previously mentioned I love collecting vintage items, from clothes to buttons and almost everything inbetween. So I decided to set up an Etsy shop selling all my creations and finds. It has been a busy two weeks setting up the shop, creating a Flickr page and this blog. I intend to sell bespoke handcrafted crystal tiaras and combs,

Introduction

I love to walk through the wood I planted recently, enjoying dappled sunshine dancing on the grass, morning dew glistening, looking out for emerging flowers and possibly a squirrel or two. My wood is a legacy to my children, and I like to imagine how they will enjoy it in the future, the trees mature, the flowers established-perhaps rabbits and hares, owls and woodpeckers will make it their home. And while looking forward, to future joys and laughter, fun and celebrations, I love to develop ideas, dreams and themes of time gone by too. Those feelings of happy days enjoyed and the promise of more in the future run through my work, where I incorporate beautiful materials from the past to create something new, unique and extra special.
The beautiful crystals I use, for my hair combs and tiaras and to decorate my bunting, not only enhance the look but imbibe each item with their unique properties. They bring feelings of love and hope, celebration and strength, joy and spirit while settling nerves and soothing worries.
